Almost...
Well the creation of the NOR only firmware is having a few problems and the reason for the non-release. It can patch the boot logo, but for some reason the recovery logo is not working right. I have applied the NOR only firmware about 50 times to my ipod already and seem to be having random problems. Update to follow later.

Ya the NOR Only Firmware is having a lot of problems. The iPhone Dev Team is looking into this. I suggest you release the new version soon.
And work on the NOR problem after.

I wrote a tutorial for removing the verbose-boot patch. Maybe it helps somebody....
1. Go to Recovery Mode (remove usb, hold home and insert usb until ipod shows recovery logo)
2. Type this into shell (or cmd in win)
----
iRecovery -f iBSS211.dfu
----
3. Put your iPod in DFU Mode (let usb inserted 10sec home + power, 10sec home)
4. Type this in shell (or cmd in win)
----
iRecovery -f iBSS211.dfu
----
5. Remove USB Cable
6. Insert USB Cable
7. Type this into shell (or cmd in win)
----
iRecovery -s

8. Create NOR firmware with iBoot.n72ap.RELEASE.img3 from the jailbroken firmware
9. Restore this NOR with iTunes
I tested this and it works on my iPod touch 2G

What is Verbose anyways and I think its about time you should release the new version. Then maybe in QuickFreedom 2.0 you can put in the Nor Only Firmware way. Its being worked on by the Dev Team so its going to take some time in the mean time people are dying for boot logos and 1.2

I too would like to ask if you could consider releasing as-is, and leave the recovery logo until the next version - or at least tag this as a BETA version. I, as well as many others, would love to change their boot logos without having the hassle of resyncing everything and redownloading all unofficial apps and extras. This is by far the easiest way to do so that i know of.

sorry, i'm kind of confused, if you put your ipod in recovery mode to accept the new boot logo, doesn't that mean that all your stuff gets deleted anyway? I don't see how it's possible, someone please explain

Actually for you who want the custom boot logo that is done through a nor only patch too, if you even checked his previous video you would notice that, just wait, its that simple

I would love for the 3.0 QuickFreesom version come out...but I'm more concerned about the QUALITY of the software...soooo please take your time working on the software and no offense to the impatient people but(PLEASE DON'T RUSH HIM..I WOULD RATHER HIM TAKE HIS TIME AND PRODUCE ANOTHER EXCELLENT VERSION OF Quick Freedom instead of having the newest software ending up like (redsnow lasted jailbreak for the ipodtouch/iphone 3.0)--which alot of people know how horrible that software is and how it could mess up your device...)
I will definitley be waiting for the 3.0 Quick Freedom version for vista.. :)

(I dont know if my other comment posted so hears my second comment)
Brendon no offense but please don't rush him or the rest of his team.. Wouldn't you and the rest of us rather wait sometime and recieve good quality instead of ending up with a software that screws up your ipod touch or iphone like (redsnow would)....
PLEASE take your time Dan...
