Beginning 3.0 Process

I'm going to try to upgrade Quickfreedom so it can jailbreak 3.0 firmware on the iPod Touch 2G. The only problem is that redsnow 0.7 seems like the only method to do this at the moment and an xpwn (used for creating custom ipsws) package for 3.0 firmware has not been released yet.

    Thanks man, I will be waiting. Whenever I jailbreaked my ipod the first time, Quickfreedom was the easiest and most helpful program out there =)

    @Colton I don't think installer is supported anymore. However there's always Icy. Add this source to Cydia to get it: apt.ripdev.com .

    i have tried redpwn and is the same as redsn0wbut with best GUI, it doesn't build a custom .ipsw for use with itunes, it use the same instructions as redsn0w and all that sucks, nothing like the great quickfreedom!! :)

    Don't rush too fast when it comes out it will be good...

    Also what is so hard about draging the apple 3.0.ipsw ontop of the redsn0w exe then putting the ipod into dfu mode... my only real issue is with putting a boot logo in and quickfreedom is the best way i have been able to do this...

    Quick Freedom is the BEST!!!! I would recommend the software to anyone who wants to jailbreak their ipod touch 2nd gen. because I have jailbroken my ipod touch and I was successful the very FIRST day i recieved my 2nd gen. ipod touch..

    When you and your team make the 3.0 jailbreak for the ipod touch 2nd Gen. I know it will be top quality...Ya'll are the BEST!!!!

    I won't even consider using the (redsnow) jailbreak....because I have heard so many bad reviews... and plus I am so pleased with Quick Freedom and its compatabilty with windows vista systems...

    *again and again and again I will say Ya'll are the F'N BESTTTTT!!!!!! Thanks soooo much!!!!*
